Enormous Joy: A Handwritten Font for Business Branding

Enormous Joy for Bakery Packaging and Cozy Branding

When I first started working with Enormous Joy, I was designing new packaging for a local bakery. The goal was to make the boxes feel warm, inviting, and personal—something that would make customers smile before they even took a bite. Enormous Joy, as a handwritten font, brought exactly that feeling. Its organic curves and soft edges gave the packaging a handcrafted charm that felt authentic and approachable.

Using Enormous Joy on the bakery box labels instantly elevated the design. It wasn’t just about looking pretty; it was about creating a connection with the customer. The font’s personality matched the bakery’s brand voice perfectly—friendly, welcoming, and full of joy. I found that it worked best for headlines and short phrases, like “Freshly Baked” or “Made with Love,” where its display style could shine without overwhelming the eye.

For small labels and printed packaging, I made sure to pair Enormous Joy with a clean sans serif font for body text. This combination kept the design readable while maintaining a sense of warmth and creativity. It also helped reinforce the bakery’s brand identity across all touchpoints—from the box to the social media posts.

Enormous Joy for Café Menus and Inviting Typography

A few weeks later, I was tasked with redesigning a café menu using Enormous Joy. The café had a cozy, rustic vibe, and the previous menu felt too formal and cold. I wanted to bring in more personality and visual warmth. Enormous Joy fit perfectly here, especially for the section headers and special offers.

One of the key things I noticed about Enormous Joy is how well it works for decorative accents. It wasn’t meant to be used for long paragraphs or dense text, but when paired with a simple serif font, it created a balanced and elegant look. I used it for titles like “Today’s Specials” and “Coffee of the Day,” which added a playful yet professional tone to the overall design.

The readability of Enormous Joy on printed menus was also impressive. Even at smaller sizes, it remained legible and didn’t feel cramped. That’s something I always look for in a display font—it needs to work both visually and functionally. The café saw an increase in customer engagement after the update, with many people commenting on how much they loved the new look.

Enormous Joy for Instagram Templates and Social Media Graphics

As part of the branding upgrade, I also integrated Enormous Joy into the café’s Instagram templates. The goal was to maintain a consistent visual language across digital and physical materials. Using Enormous Joy in photo frames, captions, and post headers helped create a cohesive brand presence online.

I tested different layouts and found that Enormous Joy worked particularly well for short, attention-grabbing phrases. Whether it was used in a caption like “Sip, Savor, Repeat” or in a header for a promotional post, it added a friendly and memorable touch. It also allowed for creative variations in color and size, which helped keep the content visually engaging without being overwhelming.

For mobile screens and social media thumbnails, I made sure to use lighter weights of Enormous Joy and avoid overly ornate styles that might not render well on smaller devices. This attention to detail ensured that the font looked great no matter where it appeared.

Enormous Joy for Logo Design and Brand Consistency

One of the most impactful uses of Enormous Joy came when designing a logo for a boutique clothing line. The brand wanted to feel unique, stylish, and slightly whimsical. Enormous Joy, as a display font, provided that perfect balance between elegance and playfulness.

The font’s handwritten style gave the logo a sense of authenticity and individuality. It wasn’t something you’d see on every other brand, which helped the boutique stand out. I used it for the main brand name and paired it with a modern sans serif font for supporting text, ensuring the logo was both distinctive and easy to read.

Having a strong, consistent font choice like Enormous Joy made it easier to build a cohesive brand identity across all marketing materials. From website headers to product tags, the font became a recognizable element of the brand’s visual storytelling.

If you’re looking for a display font that feels personal, professional, and versatile, Enormous Joy is definitely worth considering. Whether you're updating your packaging, designing a logo, or refreshing your social media graphics, this font can help you create a brand that stands out and resonates with your audience.
